Perception on Pregnancy

Pregnancy is supposed to be one of the most amazing experiences of your life. Unfortunately, the medical field mostly encompasses a fear based look on something women were made to do. This approach makes you question your every move and makes you feel guilty of already being a bad Mother if you don’t do all the things they tell you too. This is not because you as an individual actually need this type of approach, but because its protocol. Of course, there are situations where you are considered high risk and western medicine doctors are absolutely needed, but a good mid wife will get you to the doctor before you or your baby are in danger. That is the beauty of it! In today’s world we can choose to have the pregnancy and birth we want yet have the safety net if we need it.

When I was pregnant with my son I was shocked by everyone’s negative comments and attitude, including my obgyn! I learned very quickly to protect myself from such bad voodoo and focus on how I felt. Besides feeling nauseous and of course a little crazy from the hormones changes, I felt great! I found comfort in knowing that the way I felt was normal and wanted to be around people that were positive, especially during my pregnancy.

You should have to plan for a pre-pregnancy and for your future baby as healthy as possible. Once you got pregnant you ought to track your pregnancy week by week along with key milestones of your pregnancy process. Don’t fret; simply try the best pregnancy due date calculator to know about your expected due date, pregnancy week by week highlights, and even the trimesters of pregnancy!

One of the best things I did was start Kundalini pre natal yoga classes. It was such a relief to be in a room with other woman going through the same changes I was and woman that had similar mind sets as mine. Kundalini’s call it “The Khalsa Way” and it is basically all the resources you need to have the most awesome pregnancy you are able to have. I fell in love with the natural, organic beliefs and dove in by getting rid of my obgyn and brought in a midwife. She became like a second Mother to me not only for my pregnancy but for at least two years after the birth of my son, I would call her for advice. The bond, feminine union, and empowerment made me feel like a Goddess and for the first time in my life I came into my own, as if I was born to be a Mother. I loved the experience and feelings so much; I can’t wait to do it again!

Yes, I’m talking about the actual birth part too. I continue to try and change one woman’s perception of an alternative method of pregnancy at a time.

All opinions and beliefs expressed in my articles are based on my experiences and I am not a medical doctor.

The utmost importance always is for the safety of the Mother to be and the unborn child and therefore each individual must research which path they choose to take based on their needs.
