To put it as mildly as possible, life can be fickle at times, whether we want to admit it or not. Things go wrong, and we often find ourselves at the mercy of the universe, as it were. One of the things that few people realize, is that while they don’t necessarily have control over ALL of the little things in their life, there are SOME things that they can absolutely control. What we’re talking about, of course, is you. You can control your own destiny by the way that you choose to think. Fortunately an excellent tool for managing yout thoughts is by speaking affirmations to yourself. But wait, what’s an affirmation? How does it affect you? Can it really help your own thoughts and attitude improve? Can it really change your life?

Understanding Affirmations

If you’ve never heard of an affirmation before, you’re probably a bit skeptical, but hear us out. An affirmation is simply a phrase that you speak to yourself. For example, if you plan to start exercising every single morning, then it would do you well to say something to yourself in the morning, like “I’m GOING to get up and exercise tomorrow mooring”. Keep saying it until is engrained within your consciousness; keep saying it until it’s true.

Saying something doesn’t necessarily make it true, but if it’s said enough and with confidence, you’ll start to believe it. The funny thing, about saying things like this to ourselves, is that after a while, we start o believe it, and suddenly, it comes to pass.

9.) I fill my mind with positive and nourishing thoughts.

10.) I love myself deeply and completely.

11.) Every cell in my body vibrates with positive energy and health.

12.) My world is a peaceful, loving, and joy-filled place to live.

13.) My life is filled with prosperity and everything goes right for me.

14.) I am grounded in the experience of the present moment.

15.) I am fully present in all of my relationships.

Affirmations are not necessarily going to help you to succeed. What they will do, however, is give you the confidence you need to drive on and the will to succeed. It’s worth taking a few minutes out of your day to say one or two of these, we guarantee it.
