Looking for Ways to Boost Up Your Socials? Here’s How to Elevate Your Digital Game in 2024

Are you tired of your 9 to 5 job, and you’re looking for a way out? If the answer is yes, you must’ve had at least considered social media at some point. Let’s be real, in 2024 it seems like everyone is making money online. So, why couldn’t you be one of those people? I mean seriously — even if you want to stick to your day job, this could still be a possibility worth exploring to get into a digital game.

As someone who works closely with influencers and tracks online trends for a living, I’ve seen a huge switch in the last couple of months. “Faceless” or UGC (user-generated content) accounts have been on a steady rise, which means that you could be able to make money by creating content, even if you’re camera shy. Of course, getting started isn’t always easy. That’s why I decided to share with you some of my best tips to boost your socials.

Define Your Brand Identity

One of the biggest mistakes that I see newer social media accounts make is not having a brand identity. Most social media algorithms will put you in a specific category not too long after you start creating content. So, if you’re constantly switching up what topics you’re posting about, your content may be pushed out to the wrong audience. Of course, you can’t have it all figured out right away. But, if you do your best to create a cohesive feed, people with similar interests are more likely to follow you.

So, start by choosing a niche — What is it that you’re passionate about? Beauty, nutrition, fitness, finances, or maybe something completely else? Once you establish that, it’s time also to find your style and aesthetic. Are you someone who prefers being spontaneous and carefree, or do you prefer curated and edited content? Those are the questions that you should have answered before you start getting serious with your account.

High-Quality Video Content

If you want to make a living out of social media, it’s crucial to follow current trends. And as of right now — that’s short-form video content. Even though I still love to watch a 45-minute-long video on YouTube, chances are that your account is more likely to blow up if you stick to what’s currently popular, and that’s short videos. Interestingly enough, even though TikTok was all about 15-second-long videos just a couple of years ago, that’s starting to change now as well. The sweet spot? Around one minute. I know — our attention spans are really becoming concerning.

However, if you’re just starting out with social media, that’s actually a huge plus for you. Because shooting and editing a one-minute-long video takes significantly less effort and time than shooting and editing a 15 to 20-minute-long YouTube video. Also, most of the content nowadays is filmed with a phone camera anyway, so you don’t have to splurge on high-quality camera equipment right away. You can buy additional equipment such as ring lights and tripods for cheap on sites such as Amazon as well.

Engagement & Trends

Last but not least, I want to talk about two important aspects of going viral: trends and engagement. First of all, let’s talk about trends. Being quick when it comes to trends — such as popular sounds on TikTok, is one of the easiest ways to go viral. Of course, this also requires having a little bit of luck, and recognizing potential viral sounds before they get overused.

However, even if one of your videos goes viral and brings you a lot of followers, it won’t really mean that much if you don’t have consistent engagement from your audience. So, make sure you’re constantly encouraging them to comment and share your posts. And don’t forget about replying to comments as well! All of this will boost your content and give the algorithm a nudge to push it to a wider range of users.
