Syd Wilder – NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS

EB: Since it’s the Celebrity Edition, you get to show some behind the scenes content. Deja Jordan was the photographer who shot you in Italy. Are their any other photographers you would like to work with in the future?

SW: Deja is my favorite photographer to work with so that’s a hard question to answer. but if I have to answer I’d say Helmut Newton or Herb Ritts. Since they are both deceased I don’t see that happening in my the near future. LOL!

EB: You’re so busy nowadays. What does the average day look like for Syd Wilder?

SW: Auditioning, writing jokes, producing sketches, working out (because I have to not because I like it), filming me doing all of that. and taking selfies of me doing these things. LOL!

EB: As always, you’re still killing it on your YouTube channel. What’s coming up for you? Any projects?

SW: Thank you! Yes, I just launched 2 Victoria’s Secret parodies. One is a holiday commercial parody called “Victoria’s Secret Fallen Angels” which is a callback to the last year’s video with a twist. I play an extremely unprofessional gold digging angel while all the other angels (Sarah Stage, Melissa Molinaro, Tiffany Toth & Carrie Minter) get annoyed by me ruining their shots. The other one is a mockumentary called “Behind The Wings” which basically is a Q&A of all of the Angels in character. I’m working on launching a “Real Behind The Scenes” for 2015 as well as numerous other sketches!

EB: Sounds like fun! Can’t wait for them. With all that you’ve done, I’m sure there is some big, inspirational life motto?

SW: I know it sounds cliche but really, NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS! I’m still here in LA, still going strong after many years. If you want something badly enough NEVER STOP GOING AFTER IT!

EB: With that said, what does Viva Glam mean to you and how do you represent it?

SW: Another good question! Viva Glam means beauty on the inside as well as out, compassion, and a celebration of the best life you can make for yourself! I’m so proud to be apart of this magazine for many reasons, one of the main ones being Katarina Van Derham. She is a huge inspiration to me in countless ways, she creates so much love and beauty wherever she is and I am honored to be apart of her creation. I hope I am representing the magazine well in some of the glamourous pictures I take. except for the ones where I’m getting my nose waxed. That’s definitely not something Katarina or anyone at Viva Glam would do. 😉
