The Most Fetching Hairstyles For Straight Hair

In most situations having straight hair can seem like a blessing. Lots of people want straight hair as it is easy to look after and looks very feminine. However, it should be noted that one type of hair is not significantly better than another. In addition, regardless of what type of hair you have, you’ll want to find a style that suits you and is easy to maintain.

Fortunately, there are plenty of great hairstyles you can adopt that can be easily achieved. Of course, it will help to have a great set of GHD straighteners!

High Ponytail

This is an easy style to adopt if you have long straight hair. Simply create a standard ponytail and put it high on your head. You’ll want to wash and brush your hair first and add your usual styling products. Keep your hair brushed back from your forehead and you’ll have a simple yet elegant look for any occasion.

The Braided Approach

You can add braids to your straight hair and help it look fantastic. Simply split your hair at the back into five sections. Then, take the middle three sections and entwine them together in a standard braid. When finished you can lift the braid over your head, much like a hairband. The rest of your hair will drop down to your shoulder or further as normal, creating a stunning look.

The Half Bun

This is a nice look, especially if you’re going to a special occasion and want something a little different.

All you need to do is take a section of your hair and swirl it into a standard bun. Make sure the bun is loose and that it is pinned in place. Most importantly, because it’s a half bun, the end of the bun should be left out, allowing it to sit just above the rest of your hair.

The messy fishtail is effectively a loose plait. It’s best achieved by splitting your hair into six sections and loosely plaiting each of those sections. But, only create half a plait. Entwine the lower half of these sections with each other to bring all your hair together. The result is a loose, slightly messy plait, known as a messy fishtail.

It’s perfect for more relaxed occasions.

Updo

Straight hair can be easily turned into an updo. Lift the lower section of your hair, swirl it around itself, and pin it in place at the back of your head. It can be high or low, depending on what you prefer.

Keep It Straight

Don’t forget that straight hair is one of the most desirable. You can simply brush it and pin it back into place. You’ll instantly create a professional look that allows you to compete in the workplace or be taken seriously anywhere else you go.

The above hairstyles can be adopted regardless of what colour straight hair you have. However, you should note that brunettes are generally taken more seriously. This may influence your choice of hair colour and style. Of course, it will depend on the venue and what image you are trying to portray.
