How to Get Rid of Those Pesky Under-Eye Bags

Those dark circles under your eyes are the product of age and tiredness, but you can definitely get rid of them without going to extreme measures. Here’s the problem; you wake up with them because you’re tired. Maybe it’s because you only got a few hours of sleep last night, or maybe it’s because you only got a few hours of sleep in the last few weeks.

The possibilities are endless but you know one thing for certain: you want to get rid of them, and you want to get rid of them now. There are a few things that you can do to alleviate yourself of them, and they’re much simpler than you think.

  1. The Potato Method

You know that anything involving skin care and a potato is going to be good, and for this one, you will want to refrigerate a cold potato and then slice it in half. Place it under your eye for fifteen to twenty minutes, and before you know it, the puffiness will subside.

  1. The Oil Technique

For this method, you are going to need some vitamin E oil, which you will mix with a bowl of chilled water. Mix it well, and then dip cotton pads into it, which you will place under your eyes for about twenty minutes.

  1. Sometimes it Takes a Cucumber

Cucumbers are yummy, but they also have some pretty nice healing properties – especially for under-eye puffiness. Take one out of your refrigerator and place it on your eyes for about twenty-five minutes. This isn’t new to you – you’ve seen plenty of people do it at the spa. It will reduce puffy tissue, naturally, and give you the look you need to face the day.

  1. The Tea Bag Approach

Keep some chilled tea bags in your refrigerator – those that have already been used, or at least moistened. This is a very inexpensive solution and all you need to do is place them over your eyes for about half an hour.

  1. Spoons and Ice Water

You can reduce the eye puffiness easily with ice water and four spoons, all made from stainless steel. Chill the spoons in the water, and then place one over each eye, alternating each one while letting the other sit in the glass of water. You will eventually see improvement.

  1. Green Tea

This is much like the other tea bag solution, but this time you’re going to use green tea. It has natural properties that will help to bring your eye right back down to its originals size.

  1. Stay Hydrated!

The final thing we’re going to say is to stay hydrated! It seems like a cliché, and it might be odd, considering you’re retaining water, but hydrating DOES reduce puffiness. When you notice your eyes getting droopy, drink water and use one of the methods that we’ve listed here.

Getting rid of the puffiness that is developing under your eyes does not necessarily have to be difficult; simply follow some of the tips that we’ve listed above and reap the benefit of the results! You’ll get back to a healthier looking you in no time, and in an entirely natural way.
