The world of modeling has changed drastically in the past few years with the advent of social media. Now, it seems that just about anyone can become a model. What is it about you that sets you apart from all the rest?
Darian:
That is very true. These days, it’s all about social media, and I think that’s awesome because it allows people to express themselves and showcase their talents to the world. It also allows one to create an online fan base that can easily grow into dedicated fans.
However, I don’t agree with the mentality that “anyone can be a model”.
Modeling is not about posting selfies on Instagram. This is not how it works. To be a model means to be a professional.
It is very ironic that the concept of my VIVA GLAM shoot got its inspiration from the iconic Brigitte Bardot. I feel like my look, personality and body type meets the standards of the 70s and 80s style. That’s what sets me apart from all the rest. Unfortunately, today it is in trend to ether be super curvy, almost to the point that it is vulgar, or sickly skinny and flat.
A well-known saying comes to mind “everything new is well-forgotten old”.
So, I would like to bring the old beauty standard of a sexy, yet elegant beauty back to the world of fashion.
