Located in the heart of West Hollywood just off Santa Monica Blvd, Loft 647 is an innovation, Eco-friendly salon everyone in the area should visit. The salon is super chic and incredibly spacious, featuring many unique and innovative designs. And, most importantly, it is eco-friendly.
Being so Eco-conscious, the VIVA GLAM Team was thrilled to discover that Loft 647 partners with Green Circle Salons and Matter of Trust to protect the environment. Green Circle Salons recycles and re-purposes a salon’s foils, color-tubes, papers, and plastics, and helps to keep hair chemicals from being rinsed down the drain or causing any contamination to the environment. Matter of Trust recycles hair donations from salons around the world and creates “hair booms” out of them. Hair booms are used to soak up oil during destructive spills, which helps protect both marine life and the environment.
Their care for the environment plus their attention to detail within the salon is really what makes Loft 647 so unique. Owner Cory Aaron Scott thought of everything when designing his chic location. Perhaps the most exciting detail is that the plants were all chosen based off which plants NASA sent into space. The plants that were deemed the best for air quality were the ones he chose to have in his salon.

The VIVA GLAM Magazine team came into Loft 647 to experience some of the services that the salon offers. Katarina had a keratin treatment, and she left with her hair feeling fabulous. Owner Cory Aaron Scott gave balayage highlights, smudge, and a beautiful haircut to Malorie, and she was thrilled at the results.
Loft 647 offers many different color, cut, and treatment options. They have a well-rounded team that specialize in different aspects, making it perfect for anyone. For instance, Cory specializes in natural colors, and they have another team member specializing in bright, non-natural colors.
We sat down with Cory and talked about Loft 647, his tips on keeping hair healthy, and what’s to come in 2019.
