Visiting as a Vegan/Vegetarian in Ottawa, Ontario

GATINEAU

Just steps away from the Alexandra Bridge, you can venture into the Canadian Museum of History. With floors upon floors of relics, books, and displays, set aside at least four hours to take it all in. We’d also encourage you to visit the Children’s Museum, even if you’re already tall enough to ride all of the roller coasters at Six Flags. It’s a lot of fun for all ages.

Gatineau Park

Only 15 minutes away from the downtown area is one of the most stunning parks in Canada. Sure, that statement would also include Banff and Jasper, but Gatineau Park is an absolutely beautiful place with plenty of biking and hiking trails for beginners and experts alike. We recommend the Pink Lake Trail and the Lauriault and Waterfall Trail Loop for beginner/moderate hikers.

Nordik Spa-Nature

Would you believe there was a world-class Nordic spa just feet away from the entrance of Gatineau Park? This Scandinavian spa features seven outdoor baths, eight saunas, and the only salt-water floating pool in North America. After a few days of sight-seeing in the city and hiking in Gatineau Park, this is the perfect place to rest your body and mind. Enjoy!
