The Latest News in the World of Technology

Technology continues to develop and change our lives. Things that we think may exist in science fiction movies until a short time ago are now part of everyday life, and even sites like https://vulkanvegas.com/de are influenced. Now there are new ways to play games! We have brought together the latest news in the world of technology for you to have an idea of both the current developments and what is waiting for us soon.

X-Ray Glasses Are Now Real

X-ray glasses have long been a joke, but now we can stop laughing. MIT researchers made them come true. No, they don’t show what’s under the clothes. However, they make finding objects much easier and make things more practical for employees. This technology allows you to find/see objects with an RFID label and works with Radio Frequency (RF) signals. In fact, it works quite simply: the user wears an AR (Augmented Reality) glass, and the screen of this device can display all kinds of objects that send RFID signals. For example, let’s assume that an employee is looking for a specific item in a gigantic warehouse to complete an e-commerce order. When they put on these glasses, they can see where the item is (even if it is hidden in boxes).

This may not sound very impressive but remember that this technology covers everything if it has an RFID tag. For instance, it may be possible to see the plumbing of a building in this way. You can detect where the pipes are without breaking the walls. Since RFID tags are smaller than post stamps, they can be put onto everything and make life easier for any kind of employee.

Creating Nanowires With Metal Atoms

Tokyo Metropolitan University has recently managed to create a nanowire by placing the atoms of the indium metal in nanofibers. If you are not familiar with these technologies, this will not mean much, so let’s try to explain it simply:

  • You can think of nanofibers as any other fiber. The only difference is that they are very, very small.
  • The University of Tokyo managed to create a wire by adding metal atoms to these fibers. Think of this as a very, very small (microscopic) wire.
  • What can you do with a microscopic metal wire? The answer to this question shows why this is a very impressive technological development.

You can manufacture much more powerful nano processors than we are currently using with nanowires. Based on the metal used, these wires can gain superconductor properties, which creates a whole new branch of science called “nanocircuitry.” We are talking about electronic circuits you can only see under an electron microscope. You can fit the power of a supercomputer into a smart watch-sized device. Electronic devices will be smaller and lighter but much more powerful. It is easy to guess how great potential such development brings.

Exoskeletons Replace Wheelchairs

Exoskeletons were a technology tested by armies, but research has been carried out for a while to be used in daily life. Some of them are for warehouse employees, and some are for disabled people. Warehouse exoskeletons still haven’t moved beyond a prototype, but those for disabled people have become a reality that can be purchased. A Catalan-based company named ABLE is preparing to launch them in the summer of 2023 with a price tag of €40,000 – €60,000. There are already disabled people who are using it and they no longer need wheelchairs. The device allows them to move independently and walk. At this year’s Mobile World Congress, a disabled person using the Able Exoskeleton played table tennis against the king of Spain. Even this shows what this device can do. In a very short time, there may be no need for wheelchairs because chairs with advanced features are already sold at this price.

6G Technology Is Already Planned

If you started to use 5G and are affected by its speed, you may be surprised to know that it will feel like a dial-up connection in a few years. 6G technology is already planned and is expected to be 500 times faster than 5G. This means “Zero Latency” – a device at one end of the world can communicate with another device on the other end without any delay and will do it 500 times faster than now.

But there is a problem: right now, we do not have any cable technology to support such a speed. Even fiber cables are insufficient. For this reason, it is planned to use “space” instead of cables. Several satellites to be placed in near orbit through European Space Agency are expected to form the basis of the 6G infrastructure. There are already researchers who say that existing security systems are inadequate for such speed and that we should develop new systems. They propose to use artificial intelligence to ensure the safety of 6G, and they may be right. Nothing else can work so fast!
