You hate thinking about all the chemicals in the drugstore hair products that you’re using to wash your hair. So, stop using them!
There are many natural ways to wash your hair to replenish, purify, and strengthen your hair. Natural methods for hair care are a great way to restore and detoxify your scalp and hair from foreign chemical buildup over the years. People from all walks of life are starting to realize the benefits of natural hair care solutions. Here are a few ways you can get gorgeous hair the natural way.
Cleanse Your Hair With Baking Soda and Apple Cider Vinegar
People have been washing their hair with baking soda and vinegar for generations. The technique is very easy and it’s sure to purify your hair and detox your scalp from the built-up toxins in the pores which collect over time.
Baking Soda Shampoo
Start by mixing in a bottle one part baking soda with three parts water. You can apply this formula to your hair dry or wet. Work the solution from your scalp through your hair shaft to the ends, and let it sit for three minutes. Rinse the solution with warm water.
Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Conditioning
Apple cider vinegar helps return your hair to its natural pH level. It’s great for hair that’s oily because it returns pores to their regular function. Mix in a bottle one part apple cider vinegar with four parts water. If you don’t want your hair to smell like apple cider vinegar, add a few drops of an essential oil like rosemary, lemon oil, or peppermint oil. Work this mixture through your hair. Rinse with cold water to seal in the nutrients.
Coconut Oil Conditioning
Coconut oil is an essential oil which contains a high amount of saturated fatty acids and can be used to moisturize hair and increase growth. Heat up some coconut oil on a saucer under a cup of hot tea or in a small container next to a hot stove-top. When the oil has reached a thick and soft consistency, add equal parts water and coconut oil, and work it in your hand to create a soft watery serum. Work the coconut oil serum into your hair and focus on the ends. Put on a shower cap and let it sit one or two hours or more. Shampoo the coconut oil serum out of your hair.
Shampoos with sulfates have detergents in them, so it’s a foreign chemical substance that your scalp doesn’t naturally produce. It can make the scalp itchy and irritated, produce acne, promote hair loss, and make hair color fade. You should substitute regular shampoo temporarily or permanently with a sulfate-free shampoo.
These are just a few ways you can naturally achieve gorgeous hair. Restore your hair to its former natural glory with these natural hair care techniques if you want gorgeous hair the natural way!
