Everyone wants shiny and healthy hair. This is easier for some people to achieve than others. There are many artificial products out there that are supposed to be easy ways to get shiny and healthy hair. However, these products often contain nasty chemicals, which are bad for the environment and can even be bad for your hair in the long run. This is why we’ve put together this handy list of natural ways to get shiny, healthy hair. 

1. Get Plenty Of Sleep With Melatonin

One of the best ways to get healthy and shiny hair is by getting plenty of sleep. While this is often easier than said, there are many tricks to falling asleep quickly and having a great night’s rest. The best way to fall asleep, however is to use the body’s natural process by tapping into a hormone called melatonin. You can help your body produce melatonin and fall asleep better by keeping your room dark, avoiding devices and creating a sleep routine you stick to. 

2.Olive Oil

Olive oil has been used for healthy hair for literally thousands of years. There are many hair products out there that are based on olive oil, but some of these products still contain nasty chemicals. Simply pour a couple of teaspoons of pure olive oil into your hair and wash it out a few hours later. You won’t believe how much healthier and shinier your hair will look after treating it with olive oil.

3. Vegan Mayo

While you may have heard about using olive oil for your hair, chances are you haven’t heard about using vegan mayo for healthy and shiny hair. Vegan mayo is best used just before shampooing your hair. The mayo will protect your hair from soap and from hard water, both of which can seriously damage hair.

4. Coconut Oil Mask

Coconut oil is one of the most popular natural hair solutions, and for good reason. Coconut oil should be combed through your hair from root to end. Let it sit in your hair for at least an hour. You can leave it in for longer if your want your hair to be super shiny. When you are done, simply wash it out of your hair.

5. Egg Mask

Obviously, vegans should still use the above mentioned coconut oil mask but vegetarians could benefit from this option. Eggs, like olive oil, have long been popular natural solutions for hair health. Keep in mind that this can be messy, but it is effective. Eggs have a lot of protein and fatty acids, so they can repair damaged and dull hair and turn it into healthy and shiny hair. The egg mask should be applied in much the same way as the coconut oil mask. However, you should only keep it in your hair for 30 minutes. At this point, you should rinse thoroughly. Your hair should immediately look much shinier and healthier. This should be repeated about once a month. 

6. Rinse With Mineral Water

This is probably the easiest method on the list, although it may not be quite as effective as some of the other methods. All you have to do is buy a case of mineral bottled water and rinse your hair with it. The minerals in the water are good for your hair and will help it become healthy and shiny.
