Jade Marie may be a doll but she is also one of the hardest working makeup artists I have ever known. She is always open to learning new techniques and her work is pretty flawless.
We shot Jade for the 2016 VIVA GLAM’s Summer Issue and I was excited she asked ME to do her makeup. Digital technology is based on pixels and with such high definition you can see every imperfection – and even things that are not imperfections but may look like it. Because of this, makeup for photography is different. If you you need makeup to last all day and you don’t want to end up retouching the final photos too much, I suggest you go a bit heavier so the surface of the skin is smoother. Not everyone is 20 years old!
I shot this video tutorial for you quickly and since the camera was a bit in the way, the makeup is not perfectly blended. So remember.Blend! Blend! Blend!
For this shoot, we went for a classic beauty look, a little retro glam, which was fun for me since this is not the typical makeup style Jade would wear.
