Beyond the Plastic: An Interview with the First Czech Barbie, Lolo ta Bella

The typical Scorpio woman is also someone who doesn’t tolerate surface-level interactions easily and is a very goal-oriented and determined person. How have these characteristics helped you in making decisions regarding your career?

I think a person with no self-esteem who cares about what others think would never be able to set big goals for themselves, especially when they have such a bold image. The fear would stop them from setting these goals. That’s why I’m especially happy that I was born a Scorpio. I can dream freely and follow through to make everything I want happen, no matter how hard it is and what the response will be.

What’s your plan for your singing career in 2020? What can we look forward to seeing you in coming up?

This year will be a turning point for me. In the last two years, there has been an interest in my singing, not only from domestic music and television producers but also from the Academy of Music Los Angeles and WMIC Radio Miami. They are eager to play my music and are asking for some materials. So, I said to myself, this year I am finally going to send them some of my work. At the end of last year, I celebrated my last days of being 19 with a comeback on the big stage at the famous Lucerna Palace in Prague in Wenceslas Square after 5 years of not performing. So far, I’ve always sung only covers, but this year I want to change that and start working with composers! I’ve got a few offers here in Czechia, but I want to start working with someone from the States or Asia, and in three years, I want to sell out Madison Square Garden!

We think we will be seeing a lot more of Lolo soon. With her magnetic personality, drive, and determination, perhaps Mattel will honor Lola ta Bella and make a Barbie in her image.
