We already know winter can be very rough on our bodies. When the relative humidity drops below about 40% the air feels dry to skin. If very low relative humidities persist it can make the skin dry, lips chapped and can put more static in the air.
Since I live in Los Angeles I’m always on a search for the best, most hydrating moisturizer. For years I had one particular brand shipped to me from Europe but this past year I felt my skin is becoming resistant to this product and the hydration is not enough. I tried so many different brands but none of them seemed to do the job. Being also a long time vegan I always want to make sure the product is not tested on animals.
Fortunately now we have social media and sometimes good products find you on Instagram. Tru-Green Organics company from Canada was very kind to send me one of their Face and Body Butter in a cute bamboo jar. First I thought it might be a bit too thick for my face but once I put it on, the butter literally melted and I absolutely loved how it felt on my face. My face was glowing and you couldn’t see any of my lines. Now that’s a real moisturizer!!! Canadians seem to know how to make a good skincare since they get hit by some serious cold throughout the year.
I love this product and the bamboo packaging makes you feel you’re somewhere tropical. If you’ll try this product, let me know how you like it. Remember, we no longer have to buy products that are toxic and tested on our precious animals. We are what we put on, and in our bodies.
If you’re looking for a moisturizing cream, stay away from products labeled Anti-wrinkle. Those contain a tightening component to make your skin appear more firm and therefore is dehydrating.
