VG: What will women like about your swimwear?
All of my pieces are designed to accentuate a woman’s natural curves. Each and every cut has to be perfect! I am very hands on and have tried on each piece myself over and over until they were just right. I feel my designs are cuts that women want. They are comfortable pieces that you will feel sexy and confident wearing.
VG: Where do you think this “passion for fashion” came from?
My Mom. She is what I am most proud of in this world, and she not only nurtured my aspirations from the time I was very young, but she is a constant inspiration to me.
She is a seamstress too, and I used to make my own school clothes growing up. I grew up sewing with my mom, and I cherish those memories.
In fact, my Swimwear Line is called Nia Lynn; a combination of the names of the women in my family; my niece, my mother, and myself.
I still like to cut things up and sew them together to make it my own! I definitely feel it is in my blood.
