Model, actress, and designer Nicole Williams came with VIVA GLAM Magazine to shoot in the Sand Dunes of Southern California. She is creative, genuine, and nurturing and we just loved working with her!

VG: How did you start your career as a professional model?
I began in a very small town in Newfoundland at the age of twelve. I was doing mostly catalog work.
My Mother knew that I want to be a designer and model; that I wanted to get out into the world and do things; I wanted to grow. I think she could see my wings sprouting. (laugh)
I was 14 when my Mom & Dad separated. I remember my mother packing up the car with me, my brothers, and our 3 dogs and making the move to give us a better life. We drove for days from Newfoundland to Toronto. I knew then that I was going to have to go hard for my dreams!
NEXT Agency in Toronto signed me right away. Since then, I have traveled the world, and have signed with two other major agencies; first in New York and now in Los Angeles. I am really grateful to my mom for making that major move for us. I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today without her.
VG: You are on a reality TV show, but are also a professional model and actress, with a long list of campaigns and making a good living at it. Already having such a full and busy life, why did you agree to do a reality show?
Well, this particular show is about women who are dating prominent athletes. Women who date these men are typically portrayed in a negative light; like the expectation that we are shallow and gold-diggers, living off our man. I don’t do that and, I am not like that. So I am taking the opportunity to try and let people see who I really am. I have modeled my whole life and am a businesswoman. I have my own money, my own life, and am in a loving and supportive relationship with someone who happens to be an athlete. At the end of the day, I just hope that gets to come through.
