Visiting as a Vegan/Vegetarian in Montreal, Quebec

4 of 7

DOWNTOWN & Old Montreal

The downtown area of Montreal is always bustling with students running to class, entrepreneurs rushing to the subway, and art lovers exploring the museums. One of the most unique things about Montreal is also in downtown — their underground malls. You all know Montreal has a pretty harsh winter, but it doesn’t mean retail needs to stop as every mall is connected to a metro station.

After a long day of traveling, we highly recommend you check out the bars on Crescent Street, close in proximity to the brand-name shopping on Rue Sainte-Catherine.

Old Montreal is one of the first stops made by tourists, for its cobblestone streets and beautiful churches. You’ll find many people wandering through the Old Port, shopping at the
Bonsecours Market, and walking down Rue Saint Paul Est.
