Veggie Grill Launches Egg-Based Vegan Burrito!

Veggie Grill, the famous vegan fast-casual restaurant chain, is launching a new egg-based vegan breakfast burrito, in partnership with food technology startup JUST.

According to Clearly Veg, The Just Egg is made from mung beans and it has rapidly become a great vegan egg alternative that looks and scrambles up just like traditional eggs, minus the animal cruelty, cholesterol and other health and ethical issues associated with animal products.

Starting July 11, vegans can enjoy this wonderful breakfast option. The dish will be served all day and is going to join other vegan products such as the Beyond Sausage, that was launched at select Veggie Grill locations before it was included to the menu in the rest of the chain’s 30+ restaurants.

VegNews added that the burrito will also include a house-made vegan chorizo, home fries, black beans, vegan cheddar cheese, and fire-roasted salsa wrapped in a toasted flour tortilla.

“It’s the summer of peace, love, and veggies. Introducing our new seasonal menu, featuring the Summer Celebration Salad, Filipino Chickin’ Adobo Bowl, Chargrilled Street Corn Bowl, Summer Artichoke Flatbread, Smoky Corn Bisque, Strawberry Dream Cake, Steakhouse Burger and more! Available at all restaurants starting today!” wrote Veggie Grill in the official Facebook post, announcing their special menu for the summer.

So, next week vegans can head to their local Veggie Grill and try this new exciting dish. There are currently over 30 locations in states such as California, Oregon, Washington, and Illinois.
