Vegan Pumpkin Pie Smoothie for a Post-Workout Treat

Fall is in full swing, which means we can finally dive head first into all things pumpkin! Pumpkin cookies, pumpkin ice cream, even pumpkin pasta can be found at your local grocery store, but what if you just want to try a recipe at home with 100% natural ingredients? Not everyone wants “pumpkin spice” in everything just for the sake of fall. A lot of us prefer to use the real ingredients – the “meat” from the actual pumpkin.
Pumpkins, and canned pumpkin puree, can be found in grocery stores as early as September, so we know you’ve been stocking up on your favorite seasonal vegetable. But have you found a way to integrate pumpkin into your post-workout treat?
If you want to indulge in the delicious fall flavor, but don’t want to feel guilty, try the below Pumpkin Pie Smoothie recipe made with Harmless Harvest Coconut Water (yes, coconut + pumpkin together – who would’ve thought?!), for a delicious treat without the guilt!
Pumpkin Pie HarmlessR Smoothie
4 oz Harmless Coconut Water
½ Cup Almond Milk
1 Frozen Banana
¼ Cup Pumpkin Puree
Toss all ingredients including ice into your blender and process on high until completely smooth.
Pour into a tall glass and serve.
This smoothie is great for replenishing post-workout since Harmless Coconut Water is full of antioxidants and electrolytes for total hydration. It doesn’t hurt that it also feels like a cheat-day treat.
