  1. Aside from being an actor, you are known for your philanthropic work. Can you tell us about your work with the children of Vietnam, the Miss Universe and Miss Vietnam pageants?

Years ago I did a film called War of the Worlds directed by Steven Spielberg. Through that process I met Ms. Trang, an amazing woman from Vietnam who teaches an arts school in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. One day she asked me if I would be interested teaching her students acting in Vietnam. At this point I had studied acting act several schools. I had a pretty good idea about how to teach what I had been taught over the years. I agreed to come to Vietnam and teach a course on acting. That turned into being there for 3 months and teaching several different classes which led to me privately coaching 3 of my female students that were competing for Miss Vietnam to contend for Miss Universe. This was the 1st year that Vietnam would have a contestant and host in Miss Universe. I am honored to say that I was chosen to be the personal coach for Miss Vietnam and she placed in the top 10. Since then I have been back almost every year to teach “my” kids in Vietnam not only acting but also several courses on how to succeed in life. I have been asked to personally coach Miss Vietnam for Miss World & Miss Vietnam to name a few. I can say that my work in Vietnam and working with their children, young women and government has been the most rewarding experience in my life thus far.
