What were you doing before you became a rock & roll fashion designer?
I started working in cut and sew factories as a teenager. I learned the ropes and then ventured out on my own. I designed my first line in 1995. Being in my 20’s I was very naive about the world of retail, packed my newly created designs in my clunker of a car and set out to take the fashion industry by storm. Many miles later and after many retail stores looking at my line with a blank stare I realized no one really got what I did and didn’t know what to do with it. I took those designs and opened my first retail store. It’s been going strong ever since.
