This is my favorite self tanning secret! It’s been my tanning method for the last year that is not only MUCH cheaper than spray tanning or buying the self tanning lotions, but I get better results, in the comfort of my own home, and I save tons of money! I came up with this idea one day after going through my professional makeup kit, and realizing that I had a “tanning stain” makeup product from Ben Nye that was a liquid stain for temporary color. It contained no self tanner in it. And I thought, wow, this stuff works really great, but it’s too bad that it doesn’t last. . . that’s when I started thinking of how I could get my hands on a liquid self tanner. So I started doing some research on the internet. I wanted to test it out, and not buy a huge gallon jug of self tanner, so I ordered a sample size Airbrush Self Tanning liquid from a professional spray tanning company. I ordered it in the clear formula, a tinted formula, and also the DHA drops to darken up my tan by customizing it if I wanted to. This was the best solution I have ever found. Here’s how it works: 1. Always apply with vinyl rubber gloves! (you can buy these in the pharmacy medical supplies section) 2. Rub 2-3 drops between palms (with gloves on) and rub it on just like you would rub on a lotion. 3. Cover the floor with something like an old towel, just in case you drip….it takes a while to get used to rubbing the liquid on without making a mess. 4. Rub over entire body just as you would use a self tanning lotion, being careful to use sparingly on elbows, knees, hands and feet. 5. I use a separate spray in a can tanner for my hands and feet for the lightest and most natural effect.
There are a few different types of airbrush tanning lotion you can use depending on your needs. I order mine from Sjolie. The 4 oz Sample was only $9.99 and lasted over 20 applications!
$9.99 Oh, did I mention they are natural & vegan!?
