There is also a happy balance when it comes to vacation meals. Try a few of my nutritional tips to indulge in the foods of your new city without taking them home with you on your hips.

    • Plan ahead: Do some research on the local restaurants and select a few options that have healthy options, especially for dinner since these calories often head to bed with you for calorie storage.
    • Skip the buffet: Many hotels offer complimentary buffet breakfast. I’m guilty of trying a bit of everything, but as this is the first meal of the day, this can cause a slow start to your day with excess calories. Try ordering a single plate of food from the menu instead or venture out to find a local breakfast gem.
    • Light lunch: Normally I recommend lunch as the meal that is the most complex to digest, because your body has time to burn the calories. However, many times we have big dinners planned while on vacation to celebrate and these tend to be heavier. If you have a big meal planned for dinner, don’t skip any meals (this just makes your body store calories on over-time). Instead, just eat a light lunch.
    • Hydrate: When we are out of our daily routines, we can forget to drink water in between meals, and we often get more dehydrated from walking new cities, drinking alcohol, or soaking up the sun. We can mistake thirst for hunger so drink more water to ward off the hunger pains and flush toxins from the body.
  • PRO TIP: Wear Kayo Concentrated Slimming Serum on the trouble areas you tend to store fat. It has caffeine to instantly contour and reduce the appearance of cellulite, in case you are hitting the beach. It also has Adiposlim, a revolutionary fat burning amino acid that shrinks adipocytes (fat cells) by speeding up the amount of fat converted to energy and reducing the amount of fat stored where applied. Clinical trials show it can effectively reduce cellulite, subcutaneous fat, and visceral fat, so you don’t have to worry so much after the afternoon gelato.
