Valentines day is coming sooner than you think, and do you know what that means? It means you’re going to need to get ready for the inevitable .≤dressing up’ and .≤making yourself presentable’, whatever that means. If you want to have a nice, romantic valentines day there are a few things that you will need to make sure that you are doing, the first being to put on some makeup, maybe do your hair, and definitely pick out a cute dress.

If you are like most people, and we’re going to assume that you are, then you need to eat at some point and there are certain foods that you will absolutely want to avoid for various reasons. Let’s talk about foods that you don’t want to eat on valentines day, and why.

Foods the Give you Odor

Yep, there are foods that will definitely give you odor the moment you eat them, and we’re typically talking about bad breath. In this family you can find:

  • Garlic
  • Kim Chee
  • Onions
  • Asparagus (not just your breath either)

If you eat any of these on the big night,
make sure you chew some gum or brush your teeth afterward; you’ll thank us.

Foods that Give you Gas

Previously we mentioned foods that give you odor, and you know what? It’s easier to get rid of bad breath than it is to get rid of gas. When it comes to bad breath, you can just brush your teeth, but what are you supposed to do about gas? You could take a pill, but you know what? It’s best to just avoid it. Stay away from these foods if you want to stay gas free this Valentine’s Day:

  • Broccoli
  • Beans
  • Cabbage

We know that doesn’t exactly cut out many dishes, but you never know, right?

Foods that can Damage your Appearance

Not every food avoidance tip here is about gastrointestinal health. There are some that you need to avoid simply for the purpose of keeping clean and cute. You spent a lot of time applying your makeup and choosing the perfect outfit, so why would you want to ruin it by eating something that could destroy your face, or even your outfit? There are certain foods that you definitely want to avoid in this category which include:

  • Pizza
  • Crab Legs
  • Spaghetti

These can not only ruin your makeup, but also your outfit. One piece of advice we’re going to add here is that you want to make sure you’re wearing lip stain or paint rather than lip gloss on your Valentine’s day outing as this will help you to avoid rubbing off, and will
keep food from adhering to your lipstick. If you do want to stick with the stick or gloss, just be ready to reapply!
