Spring 2017 Nail Trends

Guess what? 2017 is here and you don’t have your nails ready! You might know how you want to do them, but how do you want to shape them? What are the nail trends for 2017? What can you expect to see when you’re walking the streets? What are you going to see on your co-workers? Most importantly, how can you make a splash in your social groups?

The best way is to be prepared and to read ahead. Don’t copy other people, BE the person that everyone else wants to copy! We have a few tips for you and when it comes down to it, you’re going to be an absolute hit this year.

Get in Shape!

We can’t stress enough the importance of getting your nails in shape for the year and we have two that you’re going to want to try:

OvalSeriously, this one is always elegant and it’s always going to be in style. You can’t go wrong with oval and you can either shape the nail yourself or go with one of the many prosthetics. Either way, you’re going to look great.

RoundRound is a pretty safe shape and one that you can do yourself if you want to file it down. Just make sure you choose a great nail polish to go along with it!

Color it In!

There are lots of ways for you to color your nails whether you stick with a single color across the board or go with a little bit of variety. If you want to stay true to your skin tone, go with a
nude color true to you, but if you really want to go out there, why not go with a solid white or a sexy red? There are a ton of different colors, but we tend to favor the solid red for a night out on the town.

Design It!

We don’t have enough room in this article to list all of the different designs, but seriously, there are a ton of ways that you can make your nails unique. French, for example, gives you the solid color base with the white tip, though that isn’t something you can do at home unless you have a really steady hand.

Angled tips are yet another great way for you to show off your personality and they’re something that we highly recommend. There’s nothing wrong with taking the asymmetrical route and if you want to take it to the next level, try some of the ever-popular nail wraps.

Whatever you do, just be sure to paint them. You can always go with some of the solid matte colors, but if you really want to stand out, go with super glossy, or even iridescent nails. Your nails might not be the first thing that people notice when they look at you, but they can make a huge impact during any interaction. Make yours look good whether you do them yourself at home or go so far as to have them manicured at a salon.
