Thrift Store Challenge

I love to thrift! And I know that I’m not the only one who likes it. So, whenever I’m feeling particularly bored and have no better idea of what to do with my partner, we come up with a thrift store challenge. We set a budget, head to our local thrift store, and see who can find the most unique or outrageous outfits for each other. And honestly, we have found such amazing pieces that we’ve continued to wear for many years to come! So, if you’re in need of a wardrobe refresh, and you also want some quality time with your partner — this could be an amazing choice. And it doesn’t have to be for clothes either! You can also thrift shop for books, records, or home decor.

DIY Spa Day

If you’re feeling a bit lazy and you’re not particularly keen on going out, but you and your partner still want to enjoy some quality time together — why not treat yourselves to a DIY spa day at home? You can set the mood with candles, soothing music, and plush robes, and then indulge in some pampering treatments. You might be surprised how much your boyfriend/husband/partner enjoys this! Especially if they’re not usually into beauty and self-care. You could do facials, massages, bubble baths — simply take turns spoiling each other rotten. This is the ultimate relaxation date for a Sunday night when all you need is to recharge for the week ahead.

DIY Food Tour

Nothing brings two people closer together than their shared love for food! So, if you and your partner are both foodies, then I have some amazing recommendations for you — a DIY food tour. Listen — I’m someone who loves to eat healthy and stick to their fitness goals. But everyone needs to let loose from time to time. And who better to do it with than your significant other? So, every once in a while, me and my boyfriend will pick a theme (think tacos, sushi, or pizza), choose a few restaurants or food trucks to visit, and spend the day indulging in delicious eats together.

Outdoor Movie Night

Last but not least — why not plan an outdoor movie night? Hang a white sheet, set up some blankets and pillows, and fire up the projector. Don’t forget the popcorn and your favorite snacks! I know that this takes a bit more effort and preparation, but just imagine how romantic and cozy it will be. There’s nothing that beats a movie night for me, but when combined with the crisp air of summer nights, and the calming sounds of nature — it just becomes spectacular! This will be a date night you won’t soon forget.
