Your past sitcom jobs have ranged from working with the Wayans Brothers to working on Hannah Montana. How did you turn jobs with the Wayans Brothers to a job on the Disney Channel?
I have no idea! That’s what I always wondered! I did My Wife and Kids before Hannah Montana. It starred Damon Wayans but it was more of a family show. It was everything from the parents to the two teens and the little girl. That was the most experience I had had dressing teens and preteens was for that show, for five years. I dressed everyone from a four-year-old up to an adult. As the four-year-old grew, I got all of the different ages for five years.
After that show is when I got the call for Hannah Montana. I have to tell you honestly, to this day, I don’t know why they called me or considered me. It was so far out from anything I had ever done that I felt weird about it! I didn’t know if I wanted to do a kids show. But once I started the show, I fell in love. Now I love doing kids shows. It’s refreshing doing adults as well when I do stuff in between the kids shows. I don’t know how it happened but I’m glad it did.
