The Most Romantic Places to Travel in Summer

When you’re getting ready to travel with your significant other, you want to do something ab it more romantic than the Holiday Inn down the street, even if it’s a memorable spot, so to speak. There are a vast number of exotic locations out there that you might want to check out, and it won’t be too terribly long before you’re packing your bags and heading off into the horizon. Let’s take a look at a few of the most popular spots around the world, or perhaps even those close to you.

Belmond Hotel Cipriani

Venice, Italy

If you really need a reason to visit Italy, or the Belmond Hotel in Cipriani, then consider the George Clooney used this as his hotel of choice for his wedding guests in 2014. If it’s good enough for Clooney, surely it’s good enough for you! The hotel itself is situated pretty far away from San Marco, though it’s only four minutes away, total. It features beautiful gardens and an outstanding pool, making it a regular hideaway for those who can afford it.

Wailea

Maui, Hawaii

Why wouldn’t you want to visit Hawaii on vacation? It’s a beautiful island chain and if you’re an American citizen, you won’t even need a passport—it is a state, after all. The Wailea Elua Village rentals offer world class dining and activities along with beautiful views. Hotel Wailea, located on Maui, sits 300 feet above sea level and actually offers unobstructed views of three Hawaiian Islands. Apart from the awesome view, the hotel itself features open-air showers and deep soaking tubs. This is an adult facility, and there are definitely some strict policies – you can’t bring the whole family and you aren’t going to run into any kids here.

Twin Farms

Barnard, Vermont

If a typical New England retreat is what you’re looking for, then why not have a stay in the spot that was once home to Sinclair Lewis, the Nobel-Prize winning author? This 300-acre property features several cottages, all with their own fireplaces and the potential for candle-lit dinners. Don’t forget to check out the wine cellar.

Jamaica Inn

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

This resort has some serious history, going back all the way to the 1950’s. Celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller have honeymooned here, in one of the 48 suites, each of which features an outdoor living space. There are a ton of things to do here; schedule a massage, drink sparkling wine, and have dinner overlooking the ocean.

The Peninsula

Paris, France

Paris is the city of love, and The Peninsula manages to capture it perfectly. Your stay here will be nothing short of fantastic, and you’ll find your suite complete with a fireplace, views of Arc de Triomphe, and much more.

Ladera

St. Lucia

The cool thing about Ladera is that all of the suites, all 32 of them, only have a total of three walls. So that you can catch a view of St. Lucia’s famous Pitons. You’ll still, of course, have complete privacy to enjoy, just don’t expect to find any phones or televisions.

Rosewood Mayakoba

Riviera Maya, Mexico

A vacation to Mexico might be just what your soul needs and this resort features just about every amenity you could want. Rooftop sundeck, a private plunge pool, a boat dock, and even a personal butler that you can contact with your smartphone. There are a ton of other services and amenities here, all of which are bound to make your vacation the absolute best.
