4. MAKE SURE YOUR CLOTHING FITS
So simple, yet this is a rule I see broken daily. There is nothing that can ruin a look faster than ill-fitting clothing. First look at the label and make sure the size is appropriate for you, but, since we all know labels can be deceiving, trying the clothing on is also a must. Clothing should not be too tight, nor too lose. Consider the silhouette of what you are wearing and how it is supposed to fit and be honest with yourself. If it doesn’t look right, ditch it!
5. KNOW HOW TO ACCESSORIZE
Ladies, accessorizing is a must, but going overboard is almost always a never! My general rule of thumb? If you are wearing statement earrings forget the necklace and choose a bracelet and ring instead. On the flipside if you are wearing a statement necklace either skip the earrings all together, or go for a small pair of studs that compliment the necklace. Look in magazines and try to get style cues from them. Sometimes they are a little too trendy with their looks, but for the most part they will give you some good ideas on how to accessorize.
6. USE YOUR BEST ACCESSORY
Since we were just talking about accessorizing I thought I would remind you to make use of the best best accessory you own, your smile! A smile will make any outfit shine because it lets the outside world know you are a happy, confident woman.
