Perfume is so powerful. It just has the ability to bring you back in time and make you feel a certain way. That’s why I love to buy perfumes for special occasions. For example, whenever I go on a bigger holiday, I’ll buy at least a small bottle of perfume and wear it all the time while I’m there. Then, whenever I want to relive some memories, I’ll apply that perfume again. I also love to wear special perfumes for romantic dates with my significant other, like anniversaries, or Valentine’s Day. Maison Francis Kurkdjian – Baccarat Rouge 540
How could we make a list of the best gender-neutral perfumes and not include Baccarat Rouge 540? I know, it’s everywhere now. Everyone and their mother owns this, but this is one of the rare hyped-up perfumes that are just so well worth it. Don’t get me wrong, a bottle of this is expensive. Also, there are so many dupes available nowadays that you can smell a variation of it basically anywhere you go. But nothing is as magical as the OG. It leaves the most beautiful scent trail, and it’s just the perfect balance between feminine and masculine notes.
Le Labo – Santal 33
Another popular perfume that’s absolutely worth the hype. The high price tag of this luxury fragrance is justified by the unique blend of cardamom, iris, violet, and amber. This warm and smokey scent is a total compliment magnet, and it works well with most body chemistries. It’s airy and fresh but strong enough to perform well even during the colder months of the year. Personally, I prefer this scent on my partner, but I know a lot of women who wear this and smell simply irresistible.
Byredo – Mojave Ghost
One of my favorite fragrances of all time! Byredo is a niche brand, so the price is a bit higher. But the quality of this perfume won’t let you down! Another fresh scent, but with an amazing performance. That means you’ll be able to wear it throughout the whole year. With notes such as sapodilla, magnolia, violet, cedar, and sandalwood this is the perfect balance between fresh and woody. It smells like clean, luxurious laundry in the best way possible. And even though this is a freshie, the performance is still amazing!
Zadig & Voltaire – This Is Us
This Is Us by Zadig & Voltaire is a beautiful budget-friendly option. We don’t often see designer brands creating unisex fragrances, but this one is definitely worth your attention. The whole “This Is” line by Z&V features some unique sandalwood-based scents, and This Is Us is no different. It includes just four notes: vanilla, sandalwood, musk, and patchouli. Thanks to the patchouli note, the perfume is long-lasting, and the projection is great as well. To me, this fragrance has a slight sunscreen vibe to it, but in the best way possible.
