Keratin is a protein found naturally in your hair. All of these treatments improve the condition of your hair by creating a protective protein layer around the hair shaft. Keratin fills in the gaps of the hair cuticle that are damaged, cracked, and dry. The final step in the process is sealing the hair with the heat of a flat iron at 450 degrees or more. This will eliminate frizz and smooth the hair cuticle. Below are some of the hair keratin treatments that I have experience with:
Keratin Complex
Keratin Complex by Copola is not a straightener, but does give strong results in taming down the frizz. It’s more of a demi-treatment (stronger and longer lasting) verses a semi-treatment. It eliminates frizz and straightens curls while instantly adding shine and condition to the hair. This treatment lasts three to four months after one treatment. This service is provided in a hair salon by a professional hair stylist.
Chocolate Keratin Treatment
Chocolate keratin treatment is similar to the Keratin Complex and will smooth frizz, straighten curls, and seal damaged hair. This treatment smells like chocolate. This treatment contains cacao extracts and chocolate fragrance.
This treatment last three to four months.
Global Keratin
Global keratin hair taming system comes in three different formulas, and also comes in a chocolate and strawberry fragrance. This treatment lasts up to five months.
*Light wave/colored-This formula is for clients who want to keep their natural wave or curl, but want to eliminate frizz and cut their styling time in half.
*Curly/colored-This formula is for clients who want a sleeker look to their hair, while making it soft, shinny, smooth and frizz free.
*Thick/coarse/resistant- this formula is for clients who have unruly hair and are looking to get it perfectly straight.
This formula will not only give a straighter look to the hair when it’s blown out, but also leave it silky soft and smoothly straight to the touch.
Japanese Keratin Straightener
The Japanese keratin straightener is a permanent treatment that gives stronger, stiffer results.
It dries naturally straight, so you will never see your curly, frizzy hair again! This type of treatment cannot be compared to any of the other keratin treatment in today market.
I recommend this type of treatment for a client who has thick/coarse/resistant with no color or highlights. This treatment is permanent it lasts forever and does not come off! You will need to re-touch every three months.
The end result is cutting your blow-drying and styling time in half while finishing with a smooth healthy, frizzy- free, radiant shine!
