Part of the role for a royal family member is to appear in public at different events, which means there’s always an opportunity to show off or start new trends. Much of what Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton wear ends up sold out within minutes as they are considered the ultimate fashionistas.
In less than four months, Meghan’s clothing budget has already exceeded what Middleton was spending, according to the Daily Mail, and this isn’t that surprising given that Meghan’s impeccable style includes her love for the designs from major fashion houses such as Givenchy, Chanel, and Prada.
In the beginning, there was talk of the likelihood of Meghan Markle finding in her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, a style guide, especially right before becoming the new Duchess of Sussex.
From how to wear her hair, how to combine the headdresses with the rest of the outfit, or how to style her obligatory transparent stockings, Middleton was already a pro in royal etiquette and fashion sense. Undoubtedly, Prince Harry’s wife must have taken more than one tip from the now veteran Kate in terms of dressing like a royal.
However, recently there seems to be a reversal of roles. After a short tour around Ireland with a showcase of glamorous looks that raised Markle’s style to a new level (and thanks to the help of her friend and stylist, Jessica Mulroney) the Duchess of Cambridge seems to have embraced the fashionable side from her new sister-in-law.

First, there is the outfit she chose to make her first appearance at Wimbledon: a printed white bone pattern and pencil skirt by Jenny Packham, with the waist marked by a seam and a draped detail that gave freshness and dynamism to her look. (Outfit shown in the first photo.)
Then, the next day, Middleton attended the men’s Grand Slam tennis final with her husband, Prince William. She was wearing a striking yellow dress with a boat neckline — the same color as the one worn by Meghan Markle to the Marlborough House for a Commonwealth Youth program event and a neckline very Meghan-like.
