Fun & Flirty 60s Inspired Makeup Look

Today, we are going to be showing you a fun, flirty 60s inspired makeup look done by Adél Sadovskiy. Adél adds her own special touch to this look, so be sure to watch the tutorial all the way until the end. Continue reading below to find the steps to the tutorial along with the products used.

Step 1- Prime Your Face

Adél used the Pro Filt’r Mattifying Primer by Fenty Beauty to prime her skin. This is a great primer for oily skin.

Step 2- Apply Foundation

Apply foundation evenly across your face with a sponge. In the video Adél used Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation in shade 3 and 4 neutral. This is a great foundation, as it is has great coverage and applies very evenly.

Step 3- Apply Concealer

Next, apply your shade of L’Oreal – Infallible Full Wear Concealer. In the video, Adél used shade 230. Apply this underneath of your eyes, on the bridge of your nose, on the center of your forehead, and on the center of your chin. Then blend the concealer with the same sponge you used before.

Step 4- Apply Powder Under the Eyes

Apply Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in the area under the eyes to both set the foundation and brighten that area.

Step 5- Apply Powder to the Rest of the Face

Next, apply the Dior Extreme Control Powder Foundation in shade 020 to the rest of the face to set the base.

Step 6- Use Bronzer to Lightly Contour

Because she has an ovular face, and because the look doesn’t exactly call for it, Adél only lightly contours her face. Instead, she uses a bronzer to lightly bronze the look. In this video she used The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer.

Step 7- Apply Highligher

Lightly apply Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder 01 as a highlighter to your look.

Step 8- Apply Blush

Lightly dab your blush on your cheek bones using Alamar Cosmetics Colorete Blush Trio in Fair\Light. And now your base to your look is complete!

Step 9- Define Your Brows

Use the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in shade 3 to frame your face by filling in and defining your brows.

Step 10- Apply Eyeshadow

For this step, we will be listing several parts here below. This eye look was created using BH Cosmetics Ultimate Matte 42 Color Eye Shadow Palette. This is one of Adél’s favorite palettes, as it has 42 different creamy matte colors that blend beautifully. To create this eye look:

  • First put your same concealer on your eyes and blend it in with your finger.
  • Then set your eyes with the translucent powder you used before.
  • Use the brown color in the BH palette as a transition shade and place it in the crease of your eye, blending it outwards away from the eye. This creates the illusion of a bigger eye.
  • Apply the mustard shade with a smaller brush. Apply it directly under the brown shadow.
  • Next, take a small detail brush and use the dark brown eyeshadow color to create a sharp line along the eye’s crease. This will create a “floating eyeliner” look.
  • Add concealer to the cut crease of your eye with a flat brush and continue to add it all over your lid. This is your chance to even out your shadow lines that you just applied.
  • Next, add pure white eyeshadow over the concealer on the lid of your eyes.

Step 11- Apply Eyeliner

Use the Benefit Roller Liner in black to frame your upper eyelid with eyeliner. Adél created a cat-eye like shape with her upper eyeliner for this look.

Step 12- Apply White Eyeliner in Your Waterline

Use Maybelline’s Lasting Drama Light Liner in 810 White Luster to line your waterline.

Step 13- Apply Black Eyeliner Underneath of Your Eye in Dots

Use Sorme Smearproof Eyeliner in Black to line underneath your eye. Rather than applying a line of eyeliner, apply little dots in intervals under the eye.

Step 14- Apply Lash Primer

Use Smashbox Photo Finish Lash Primer to prime your lashes.

Step 15- Apply Mascara

Use Benefit They’re Real Mascara to apply your mascara to your upper lashes.

Step 16- Clump Your Lower Lashes

Now, apply mascara to your bottom lashes. But before your bottom lashes dry, take little tweezers and clump up your lashes in each area where you drew your eyeliner dots. In the 60s, women loved the clumped lower-lash look!

Step 17- Add False Lashes

In this video, Adél uses Ardell false lashes. However, we usually prefer using KAT Lash for our looks.

Step 18- Line Your Lips

Line your lips with Prestige Lip Liner in Nutmeg. When you line, be sure to color in the corners of your mouth, as well.

Step 19- Finish Off Your Look with Lipstick

Finish off your look with the KKW Matte Lipstick in 90’s Icon.

And there you have it: a fun, flirty 60s look. Be sure to tag us in your fun, flirty 60s looks inspired by this tutorial!
