Try this Deliciously Moist Vegan Chocolate Cake

When you are vegan, it can be hard to find a good chocolate cake that tastes like a regular chocolate cake. A lot of times they come out dry, lacking the moisture of a regular delicious chocolate cake. Luckily, vegan recipes are getting better and better each day. Ingredients

1 1/4 cups flour

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup warm water

1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 cup canola oil

1 tsp distilled apple cider vinegar (optional)

White vinegar is OK

Directions for Cake

Mix all ingredients in order.

Whisk until no lumps. Mixture will be watery.

Pour into a prepared baking pan, oil and dust with cocoa powder.

Bake for about 30 minutes or check with a toothpick; if it comes out clean, the cake is done.

Chocolate Glaze

1/3 cup sugar or powder sugar

4 tbsp margarine

2 tbsp soy milk or almond milk

2 1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tsp vanilla extract

Remove glaze from heat and pour over cake.

Punch holes in cake with a bamboo stick so that the chocolate glaze can seep into cake.

Topping will cool fast; select a topping of walnuts or almonds if desire and decorate your cake.

Add your favorite sprinkles or toppings. (sliced almonds, chopped walnuts or dark vegan chocolate chips.
