De-Stress with Your Beauty Routine

Life is a crazy, adventurous, and amazing ride, but it can get stressful in a drop of a hat. With your overpacked schedule and holiday calendar quickly getting booked, don’t forget to take time for yourself and enjoy some solitude. While you can go to extreme lengths and price tags by going to spas and splurging on vacations, there are plenty of easy ways to de-stress that can easily fit into your schedule and budget.

TAKE A BATH

When drawing a bath, add some oils, Epsom salts, or mineral salts. Epsom salts eliminate toxins from your body and also improve circulation. Salts scented with essential oils will also make the room smell heavenly and promote relaxation.

APPLY A FACE MASK

Applying a face mask can be a calming activity that is also beneficial to your skin. The Tea Tree Mask from The Body Shop is a fan favorite as it’s cooling and draws out toxins. Place
two cucumber slices on your eyes to
make them look and feel less tired and puffy.

APPLY BODY LOTION

Applying body lotion, or even just hand cream, is a wonderful way to improve circulation and make you feel revitalized.
Hand cream or body lotion can have hydrating and healing benefits for your skin. We recommend The Honest Company’s non-toxic face + body lotion.

LIGHT A CANDLE

Lighting candles with calming scents, such as lavender and chamomile, are a great way to de-stress. At the end of you day, treat yourself to a quiet moment. Light a candle, pick up your favorite book, and enjoy the beautiful lighting and scents that fill the room. Try year-long scents
by Monica Potter Home such as Bamboo Grass, Lemon Zest, Linen, Sage and Cinnamon, or Sugar Cookie. Or try seasonal scents such as Apple, Maple Pecan, and Sweet Pumpkin.
