While individual lashes were once the go-to option for a natural look, thick-banded faux mink lashes are now common. However, these can be uncomfortable, as they don’t conform as naturally to the lash line. To make matters worse, real mink, fox, and horsehair lashes involve animal cruelty, which we believe has no place in beauty.
If you’re looking for a fuller lash look without the discomfort, here’s a cruelty-free technique you’ll love!
Step 1: Choose the Right Lash Strip
Start by selecting a lash strip with a thin, flexible band. Don’t worry if the lashes seem a bit sparse; we’ll add volume in the next steps. Begin by measuring the lash strip against your natural lash line and trim any excess length. Save those trimmings! Set them aside in a small box until you have enough pieces, ideally 4-5 per eye.
Step 2: Apply the Lash Strip
Apply a thin layer of glue to the lash strip and wait for about a minute to let it become tacky. Once ready, carefully press the strip along your lash line. Allow the glue to dry fully. I prefer DUO Adhesive Dark Tone, however if you are allergic to latex, you might want to use the latex-free one.

Step 3: Layer with Mascara
To blend your natural lashes with the strip, apply a light coat of volumizing black mascara. This helps create a seamless look before adding any extra layers.
Step 4: Build Volume with Lash Ends
Using tweezers, take the small pieces of lash ends you trimmed earlier. Starting from the outer corner of your eye, place each piece along the lash strip to create a second layer. This technique adds both length and volume, giving your lashes a fuller appearance.
Optional: Add Another Mascara Layer
Depending on your desired look, add a final light coat of mascara to further merge your natural and false lashes. For a playful, natural effect, I recommend using KAT Lash in Majesty; it offers just the right amount of fun and extra lash tips to layer.

Removal Tips
To remove, look down and gently peel the lashes off, starting from the outer corner and working inwards. If glue residue is stubborn, an oil pad will help loosen it up—oil dissolves lash glue like magic!
