Romantic Looks that Make Your Eyes Sparkle

Romance isn’t just for Valentine’s Day.

Romance isn’t dead. From our love lives to our closet, romance is still very much alive. Romance can also be appreciate in your makeup, by way of lighter tones, soft metallics, and the traditional rouges, reds, and pinks.

Dusty Pink & Mauve

Not all of us are willing to go wild and try out creative, artistic makeup looks. Some of us are just trying to get by. We’re too busy trying to blend our eyeshadow to perfection to fuss about with bold colors. If you feel the same, then dusty pinks and mauves are for you.

Dusty pinks and mauves have been huge this past year. Countless eyeshadow palettes have been released with a mauve theme to them, and understandably so. The neutral shades can instantly transform your daily makeup to a romantic, feminine look!

It’s really simple. Instead of whatever neutral brown you typically use for eyeshadow, replace it with a dusty pink. You’ll be given the same depth, but your look will generally have more of a cool-toned romantic look.

Cut That Crease

If you’re looking for that beautiful romantic look that leaves your eyes sparkling even in the candlelight, then you better cut that crease. Cut creases have always been on trend, but we especially love them for more romantic makeup looks.

Cutting your crease is pretty straight forward. You simply blend a darker shade into your crease, and then use a much lighter color to define a line across your crease. Instead of blending all of your colors together, you simply leave a stark difference between your crease and lid.

We especially love this look when you use a dramatic glitter or shimmer on the lid. Not only will this give the illusion of much more lid space, but it instantly catches every light in the room!
