Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith Give $5 Million to Tyrese Gibson Amid Custody Battle

The “Fast and the Furious” actor, Tyrese Gibson revealed that Hollywood A-listers Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith help him financially during his current legal battle with his ex-wife with $5 million.

Gibson went on Instagram and shared a message thanking the celeb couple for helping him during a distressing time for him.

“When we show UP for each-other there’s nothing that can’t be done I️ repeat nothing…… My wife kept the news away from me cause I’ve been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat,” the actor wrote on a post along with a series of photos of himself with the “Bad Boys” star.  He added: “My wife kept the news away from me cause I’ve been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat.”

The actor also revealed in the post that the Hollywood power couple made him a petition. Gibson said that they want for him to stay off the internet now that his financial problems are taken care of. “You’ve guys asked me to get off and stay off the Internet now that my daughter’s legal fees will be paid ! will listen,” he said. “The Smiths’s and their whole family has always shown up for The Gibson’s. Uncle Will you’re an uncle for real.”

Right now Gibson is currently in the middle of a custody battle with his former wife Norma Gibson over their child, 10-year-old Shayla.

In court documents, Norma alleged that the actor physically abused their 10-year-old daughter, a charge that Gibson denies. The actor/singer posted an emotional video to his ex-wife, talking about the situation. “I’m at $13,000 a month, what more do you want from me?” Gibson said in the Facebook video. “I don’t hate you Norma. I don’t know why you hate me, but I don’t hate you. But you just can’t wake up on September 11th and accuse me of something I didn’t do!”

On Friday, the Department of Child and Family Services closed its investigation and he was granted a temporary restraining order.

In response to this, Tyrese said in a statement, “There is nothing I love more in this world than my daughter and I would never do anything to harm her well-being or happiness. Co-parenting is tough and it’s unfortunate when your partner tries to sabotage the situation with hurtful lies and irrational behavior.”
