In the warm summer months, it is important to be able to throw on a dress and head out the door! In fact, dresses are a must in the summer; They are simple, light-weight, and elegant. And they are incredibly comfortable in the warmer months. That’s why Kim loves wearing dresses in the summertime. Plus, being a stylist, she knows how to dress each one up or down.
Dress 1
The first dress Kim shows off is great because it is long, so it covers her legs. You can wear a dress like this in the evening and not worry about the chill. Plus, you can add a pop of color with a cute bag and a jean jacket over it. It will look great paired with flats, wedges, or a casual heel.
Dress 2
Dress 2 is from Free People (one of my favorite places). The color is perfect because it’s bright and simplistic. Plus, it’s a wrap dress, which is almost universally flattering.
This dress is also very versatile. It can be worn to a pool party. It can be paired with black sandals to make it edgier. Or you can dress it up with a nude heel. You can wear this anywhere.
Dress 3
This striped dress is the quintessential piece for the summer; Stripes are in! It’s a bit sheer, so you may need a slip under it, but you can wear it casually with sandals. You can also dress it up with a navy blazer and red shoes.
Dress 4
Gingham is always a great choice. This dress is very simple and classic, and it fits well. Plus, it pairs perfectly with natural vegan leather shoes. Kim’s shoes in the video were from Topshop! Kim prefers “clunkier” shoes with a dress like this to ground it. She paired this with a round bag, as they are very trendy right now.
Dress 5
It’s always good to have a denim dress.
This one has great detailing on the bottom, too. This one is not real denim, rather a thin cotton. That makes it perfect for the warm summer days. You can dress this down with desert boots or dress it up with high heels
Dress 6
A little white dress is a must and can be worn for any occasion. This one came from Topshop! It’s form fitting yet still a little loose and light. It’s a very classy choice. It can be dressed up with nude heels or dressed down with gladiator sandals.
