What Eyeshadow to Wear for Your Audition

Matte Eyeshadow is the Key to a Successful Audition Look

When it comes to doing your makeup for an audition, staying natural is the most important thing. You want casting directors to see that you are diverse and can fit for many roles, and a natural look is the only way to show them that. Also, having shimmery or sparkly eyeshadow on can truly distract them and take away from your performance.

So, avoid shimmer and glimmer on your eyelids when you go in for an audition.

Here’s a great palette to use instead: E.l.f. Cosmetics Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette.

To get the best look with this palette, use a lighter, neutral color that matches your skin tone, and go over your eye with it from the lid to the brow bone. Next, color your crease with a medium-colored tone that is darker than the first tone you used. Finally, apply a darker neutral color
(like a nice brown) to the outer corner of your eye. Blend all of this together nicely. If you’d like more definition, you can dab a very light color into the inner corner of your eye.

And that should give you a nice, matte look for your audition that won’t take away from your performance.
