Visiting as a Vegan/Vegetarian in Saint John, New Brunswick

Prev1 of 2

When thinking about the Maritimes, veganism is not the first diet that comes to mind. Most travelers visit the area to enjoy some of the best seafood in the world — from Halifax all the way down to Boston. With Saint John right in the middle along the bay, most people are inclined to try Dave’s Lobster instead of the vegan meal option. But the travelers that come to see the historic uptown area, the oldest continuing market in North America, and the Reversing Falls Bridge can’t all be meat eaters. We know they aren’t, and that’s where we come in.

WHERE TO EAT

Thandi’s

Vegetarian

Would you expect Saint John to have an Asian Fusion restaurant that makes one of the best pad thai dishes in the country? Well, it does! You can order it vegetarian or vegan and it will blow your mind. Other dishes to try would be the Naan Nachos and the Samosas. We also love that they have a separate gluten-free menu so diners of all dietary preferences can enjoy an incredible meal here.
