Instead of simply drawing a pointed line at the end, the outlines of these makeup artist end round as if you had used your fingers to create the effect. It doesn’t get easier or cooler than this.
You can also try using hyperreal pigments. Makeup artist Pat McGrath manages to trace over the top slashes across the lids, as well as beneath the waterlines, in super strong shades such as violet and chartreuse. She also took it even further with a constellation of Swarovski crystals that she added onto the color-blocked dashes to create a Ziegfeld Girl effect.
Other way to take this feline eyeliner to the next level is applying black liner in a graphic, extended shape at the outer corner of the eye, before finishing it up with metallic shadow.
If you want to try a more modern look, then check out Yadim’s style. The appeal of the creation from this on-demand makeup artist and his smudgy eyeliner at Jason Wu was in its imperfection. Combine it with bronzed, dewy skin for a truly laid-back look for this spring.
