Fashion Palette New York: Spring Summer 2019 Australian Womenswear Collection
It’s no surprise to anyone who follows fashion that New York Fashion Week is happening now. We’ve been hearing all about the trending shows, but we are most excited to cover the “Fashion Palette Spring Summer 2019” show, as it featured 11 Australian designers previewing their 2019 collections. The looks from these killer lines are sure to bring in the trends of 2019. Plus, they were styled by teams from Davroe Haircare, a favorite here at VIVA GLAM Magazine.
What did we learn from the looks of this exciting show? Bold colors, floral prints, plaids, and sequins will be big in 2019 trends. Each designer had pieces with one of the above features, and they all stood out on the runway with their bold designs.
Jordyn Woods, Chantel Jeffries, Anastasia Karanikolaou, Delilah Belle, and Nicole Williams all came out to view these new pieces, and industry guests who attended the show included buyers from SAKS Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, and more.
The designers who showcased at this event included Bronx and Banco, Elliatt, Tammy Hembrow with the Saski Collection, NNCY, Santina-Nicole, Elle Zeitoune, Jagger & Stone, Harvey the Label, The Blonde Republic, Avery Verse, and DA by Daniel.
The Diversity of the Show
The factor that stuck out to us the most about this show is the diversity. Diversity is always key. Each designer had their own staple, and the looks ranged from an edgier bronze glam to delicate and flirty. Bronx and Banco played with bright colors and metallic looking fabric while Elliatt used mostly softer tones and flowy designs. The Saski Collection featured more of a street style while Elle Zeitoune showcased sophisticated gowns.
Jagger & Stone offered an edgier vibe, showcasing their modern take on medieval style. Santina-Nicole and Harvey the Label’s dresses seemed ready to wear right off the runway. NNCY and The Blonde Republic sent more playful looks down the runway. Avery Verse’s handbags proved eco-friendly can be fabulous! And DA by Daniel closed the show with sequins galore in his Wizard of OZ inspired collection! The immense variety of looks delighted everyone.
Davroe Hair and Alison Jade Cosmetics showed how versatile their products could be going with the multitude of diverse looks. Seeing these future trends made us excited for 2019!
