When I was writing my book Shifting Points, I really wanted to team up with an organization that I felt aligned with my message, so I meditated on what the core message was in my book, what the common theme was. After being still and listening for the answer, it was clear – it was love… it was acceptance… and it was “just be kind”. I realized that all the work I had put into my articles and book had no power if they didn’t benefit an organization that amplified the message, furthered the discussion, and educated the next generation to move forward from a place of love, from the heart. I believe divine guidance lead me straight to Free2Luv.org.
Free2Luv is an award-winning nonprofit dedicated to rockin’ individuality, celebrating equality, spreading kindness, and standing up to bullying through arts & entertainment. They empower, engage, and enlighten youth to be their true, authentic selves and to know that they are perfect just the way they are. This is something I believe so strongly and I feel is at the heart of my book… authenticity. They also believe LUV is STRONGER than hate and BRAVER than bullying. And their main theme is LUV ROCKS and ROCK KINDNESS.
On November 17th, I was so excited and completely honored when Free2Luv made this public announcement:
“We’re excited to announce our newest Advocate Michael-Blu, motivational speaker, author and a man on a mission to spread a ton of LUV and kindness in the world. We’re honored to be holding hands with Michael-Blu to spread our universal message of LUV with youth and communities everywhere. We look forward to sharing lots from this agent for change! Welcome! <3 Free2Luv”
I’m so grateful for the energy that gravitated us to one another, and so excited for all the love that will come from this union… Love is stronger than hate.
“You are strong, you are beautiful, and you have the power.”-mb
