After more than a year of dating, it’s over for actress Rosario Dawson and comedian Eric Andre, according to reports.
Fortunately, the “Sin City” star and the comedian—who made their relationship official over Valentine’s Day 2017—remain friends. A source says, “Rosario and Eric went their separate ways. They are still friends and wish each other the best. They did have some great times together over the year as a couple.”
The duo first went public with their relationship on Valentine’s Day with loving selfies shared to social media. “The undisputed most gorgeous being on the planet ” the comedian wrote in a now-deleted Tweet. “@rosariodawson I love u bb #HappyValentinesDay.”
Dawson also tweeted right back at Andre on Valentine’s Day, calling him her “main man.”
Initially, fans and even Andre’s close friends thought that their first romantic posts to each other were just part of an elaborate prank. It wasn’t until Rosario herself confirmed their relationship during an appearance on “The Late Show” in April when it was made official for many.
“He started posting more pictures of like our tongues touching and stuff, like personal pictures,” the actress said. “I was like, ‘you’re still a millennial man. You don’t post the tongue pictures!'”
Back in September, the “Daredevil” actress shared on social media about the moment she’d told Eric she loved him for the first time after having to undergo emergency surgery.
“What a difference a year makes… This weekend marks a year that I had to get emergency surgery to stop internal bleeding from a ruptured cyst on my ovary,” she wrote with a selfie from the hospital. “It was the first time I told @ericfuckingandre that I loved him (and very much not the last). Thankful for his care and all of the doctors and nurses and staff at the Desert Regional Medical Center.”

Dawson, who is mom to a 15-year-old adoptive daughter, dated DJ Mathiu Schreyer before they went their separate ways in 2011 and director Danny Boyle, from whom she broke up in March 2013. The actress talked about her split from the Oscar winning director, saying that there was no need to make an announcement about their breakup. “It’s not like we announced our relationship, so it’s not like we’re going to announce our breakup,” she said. “I love Danny. He’s wonderful and we dated longer than people think we did.”
