Treat Yourself at the Restaurants in Calistoga

During my time in Calistoga, we got to eat at some wonderful establishments ranging from authentic Italian food to barbeque to upscale American cuisine. I plan to go back to Calistoga very soon and plan to eat at these same places again. These restaurants are all wonderful AND affordable on almost any budget!

Bosko’s Trattoria

It is wonderful, classic, authentic Italian food. The artichoke was a perfect appetizer to our pizza and pasta. All of the flavors were so clean and tasty. Don’t leave without trying the cheesecake of the day, especially if it’s the banana flavor!

Lemon Baked Artichoke

Quattro Formaggio Pizza (fresh pulled mozzarella, fontina, gorgonzola, and pecorino with tomato sauce)

Vittorio, under Pasta Fresca (bay shrimp, mushrooms, garlic in a pesto sauce instead of a cream sauce)

Cheesecake of the Day: Banana Cheesecake!

Brannan’s Grill

You sit in beautiful cabernet-colored leather booths in a historic building dating to the 1920s. They have a great surf and turf as well as fabulous after-dinner drinks such as an espresso martini.

Fresh oysters

Scallop Rissotto (with butternut squash)

Surf and Turf (served over creamed spinach and topped with fried onions)

Buster’s Southern Barbeque

For those wanting something more casual, this is the place to go. I’m not a big barbeque fan but I still LOVED this place. You can have your choice of tri-tip, pork loin, pork or barbeque ribs, chicken, and more! And do not leave without trying the macaroni salad. It has an amazing, yet simple, spice blend that gives it such a needed kick that most chefs leave out of an otherwise bland side dish.
