Olivia Wilde Won’t Apologize for Breastfeeding Photo
Is breastfeeding in public inappropriate? This week at the Meadowland premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, Olivia Wilde said she won’t apologize for a breastfeeding photo she posed for with her newborn son, Otis. This photo was taken in September, but when asked this week about the image of she and Otis sitting in a diner booth with her breast partially exposed, the star said, “I was shocked that there were still people who find it inappropriate because they think it’s a sexual thing. I think that says a lot about them.”
With many modern mothers attempting to normalize breastfeeding in public, do you think it is necessary to cover up while feeding your infant? Or do you think that covering up implies there is something inappropriate about feeding a baby?
