Rare photos of movie icon Marilyn Monroe are expected to fetch hefty price at auction!
If you are a fan of iconic movie star, Marilyn Monroe, now is your chance to bid on rare images of her swimming naked! That’s right, twelve photos of her will go on sale at Heritage Auctions in New York.
Included in this lot are images of her swimming sans clothing and her celebrating her birthday with a cake covered in sparklers. Also included is the image that is believed to be the last photo ever taken of the star before her untimely death at the age of 36 in 1962. These images are expected to fetch over 35K at auction.
In addition, other rare images will also be up for auction including those of crooner Frank Sinatra at the Fountainebleau Hotel in Miami, Muhammad Ali, and outtakes from the Beatles infamous Abbey Road photo shoot!
The images of Frank Sinatra feature him at the height of his fame. He is seen walking though the crowds with four bodyguards on either side of him. It is estimated that these images will sell for 30K.
The images of Muhammad Ali are expected to sell for 15K. The two images from The Beatles Abbey Road shoot that were not chosen for the cover that are expected to fetch 25K. This album cover is so iconic that tourists from all over the world travel to Abbey Road to emulate The Beatles walking across the pedestrian crossing. So much so, that there is now a 24 hour webcam set up at the this location!
These images will be available in the Heritage Auctions’ Photographs Auction in New York on October 11th. So, if you are a fan of these legendary stars, now is your change to pick up a piece of entertainment history!
