Right after opening restaurants inside Brooklyn and Seattle, it’s now time for San Francisco residents to enjoy the Next Level Burger experience. The new place will be located within the Potrero Hill Whole Foods. This is the second California location after the one that opened recently in Concord.
This 1,700-square-foot location will have capacity for 45 guests, and it will offer a menu that includes vegan burgers, shakes, french fries, sandwiches, and salads—along with a surprise menu item created exclusively for the San Francisco location.
According to SF Eater, the menu will also have the NLB “signature” burger: a mushroom and quinoa patty, with avocado, vegan “cheddar”, and roasted garlic thyme vegan mayo. Other vegan burgers included are made with black beans and quinoa, or chia seeds and quinoa.
The dishes also include the Beyond Meat patties: a meaty, plant-based creation made of red beet juice that’s the competition for the renowned Impossible Burger. People can also enjoy toppings such as vegan “bacon” made from tempeh.
There will also be a wide selection of salads, three-bean chili, sautéed kale, crinkle-cut fries, and tater tots. Also, all the shakes are made from soy or coconut soft serve.
NLB was founded in Bend, Oregon, by husband-and-wife team Matthew and Cierra de Gruyter with the goal of making plant-based, organic, non-GMO foods accessible to all. “We’re thrilled to throw open the doors of our new NLB in the epic Potrero Hill neighborhood,” said de Gruyter in an interview to VegNews. “We feel San Francisco is the perfect city to debut our brand-spanking-new self order NLB Kiosk and our first ever offered NLB table service to our world-changing guests.”
The plan is to keep expanding to other Whole Foods locations in the country, so there could be one about to open in a city near you!
